Sunday Funday: The Wonderfully Bizarre

Since Memorial Day is the unofficial start to summer, here’s “Summer Song” to get things started. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you YΔCHT:

This is some killer indie-electronica stuff. I listen to it when I’m writing papers or need to be incredibly creative. If I made music. this is the kind I would make. Enjoy.

  • "Am I crying?....Well it wouldn't surprise me if I was."

hahahaha that's awesome. As for the music, not my thing; I like weird, just not this particular type of weird.
  • This is my least favorite YACHT song. Check out some of his other stuff... Way good. Blips. Bloops. Bleeps.

"Super Warren MMIV" is my favorite album....
  • thats awesome
  • I saw Yacht open for LCD Soundsystem a couple years ago. It was the most bizarrely thrilling concert I've been to. He comes out on stage by himself, presses play on a computer, talks over it, and occassionally taps on a keyboard. But most of the time he just dances Napolean Dynamite-style. It's marvelous. For the first ten minutes, the crowd (including me) was creeped out and confused, but after we realized this wasn't a joke, that this was our opener and this was for real, everyone got into it and had fun. Highly recommend seeing him live. Also, LCD Soundsystem's live show is beyond dope.

By the way, Yacht used to collaborate in the group, The Blow, which is super-hip and fun. Check it "Parenthesis", "True Affection" and "Fists Up".
  • I would so love to see something like that. He does remind me an awful lot of Napoleon.

Was the dancing anything like this:
