For All You American Idol Fans with Daughters…

This is one of the best uses of YouTube I’ve ever seen. Capturing real life as it happens. Not going to lie though, this video makes me nervous to have daughters someday.


(For those who don’t know, these young women are upset by David Cook beating out David Archuleta in this year’s American Idol finale. As you can see, they take their Idol pretty seriously. ((FWIW, my wife and I reacted somewhat similarly.)))

  • I love the girls on the outside of the camera shot...they mock the girls in the middle who start crying. My favorite line? "How can they vote for that loser who doesn't even shave!" I love it because Archuleta probably can't even grow facial hair.
  • All these hormones flying everywhere someone's going to get their eye poked out! Well bigger brother, I reckon you'll be the first to test the waters with a potential female as a child. Let me know how it goes!
  • @McBothers: I love this video because it's so real. These girls REALLY did react that way. Priceless. They REALLY felt those emotions of dread, fear, despair when their chosen David did not make it. Beauty.
